OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Work, an agent powered by GPT‑5.6 that can take action across apps, files, and the web, and stay with complex projects for hours. The agent can gather information across apps, create finished materials like sheets, slides, docs, and web apps, and break projects into smaller steps that it completes independently.

ChatGPT Work is available on Pro, Enterprise, Edu, Plus, and Business plans, and is integrated into the new ChatGPT desktop app, which now includes a built‑in browser and computer‑use capability. The agent can use plugins to connect to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, SharePoint, email, calendars, CRMs, and other internal tools, and can also use the new Sites beta to turn ideas into interactive web apps.
