Introducing OpenWiki Brains, General‑Purpose Wiki Memory for Agents

OpenWiki 0.1.0 expands from a code‑base documentation CLI to a general‑purpose brain that fetches relevant context from Gmail, Notion, git repos, Twitter/X, Hacker News, web search, and Slack (coming soon). The Personal Brain creates a local Markdown wiki that automatically updates as new information appears in the connected sources, while the Code Brain continues to generate documentation inside a repo and update agent instruction files. OpenWiki uses deterministic connectors for Gmail, Twitter/X, Hacker News, and git, and agentic connectors for Notion and web search, allowing the agent to search with a goal‑driven approach. The wiki is stored on disk, making it easy to inspect, and can be refreshed by a scheduled job without a long‑running server. The framework supports both personal and code‑specific memories, and the Markdown format keeps the brain visible and editable. OpenWiki is open source, available on GitHub, and can be installed via npm with a single command.

This release provides developers with a proactive memory system that eliminates the need to manually copy context into every session, enabling agents to access fresh, relevant information from the tools they already use.
